Angela Stoneham is the Research Administrator for the Health Research Institute (HRI). She holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from LeTourneau University. Having a very diverse background of service in academic research and non-profit humanitarian organizations she will bring a wealth of experience in the areas of research administration, operations, and program management to the HRI. Her past positions have been to support efforts that provide social services to the homeless and resources to address unmet needs in low-income areas affected by disasters such as Hurricane Harvey. Angela has advocated for change to address systemic issues in long-term care facilities. She is a Certified Ombudsman with the Texas Health and Human Services Office of the State Long-term Care Ombudsman program and volunteers at various institutions around the city in the role. Angela is excited about the next chapter in her path and welcomes the opportunity to serve and support the efforts of the HRI in pre-award grants administration and will seek out funding opportunities necessary to help mitigate a broad range of health disparities in underserved communities.
